The Workplace Conflict Discussion List is
intended to provide a forum for sharing information about the prevention,
management and resolution of conflict that occurs in the workplace. Both
people looking for answers and those willing to share their expertise are
invited. The list owner will post free book chapters and relevant articles
on the list to stimulate discussion. Official opening is Oct. 1, but feel
free to sign up and make use of the forum imediately. Please read the list

The Workplace Communication Discussion
List is intended to provide a forum for those interested in communication
in the workplace -- communication throughought the corportation, management-staff,
communication, and on-on-one communication. It's goal is to help improve
communication int he workplace. Wheter you would like to become a better
team member, learn to communicate with your staff in a more effective way,
deal with making presentations in the workplace, or need more specialized
information, this is the place to be. Please read the list guidelines at

Their realliy isn't a focused discussion
group to discuss the issues of performance management and performance appraisal.
Whether you are in human resources, in management or otherwise interested
in these issues feel free to join the list. Free articles and book chapters
will also be distributed. Please read the list guidelines at the bottom
of the page.

Initially lists will be UNmoderated. However guidelines will be strictly
When you participate in any discussion list, keep in mind that you are
an invited guest. You have no right to be abusive, destructive, mean nasy,
or waste our resources. Act in accordance.
No personal attacks. Conflict and disagreement is fine but stick to the
issues. Posters of personal attacks will recieve one warning. Further personal
attacks will result in "da boot".
Try to stick to the topics. There is lots of leeway, though.
No attachments, v-cards, e-cards or html in messages permitted. Some people
don't know how to configure their software to eliminate these. One warning.
After that if you can't post "clean" messages, off you go.
We discourage people from advertising in a blatant way. If all you ever
post is "buy our performance management software", you aren't going to
post again. PARTICIPATE and help people and you get more leeway. Long promotional
messages are prohibited. You can refer people to web sites or other resources
if you have something long to share.
EDIT quotes you use. NEVER ever quote someone's entire message.
Finally, brevity and conciseness are appreciated. Most people don't read
long posts and there is a length limit to the list. Remember: Wisdom doesn't
require being dressed up in party clothes. Write as much as you need, but
err on the short side.
